Live is a DAW program which is very popular among musicians using macOS. The company responsible for it, Ableton, today officially announced its eleventh edition.

Among the most interesting novelties introduced in Ableton Live 11 we will find, among others, new features related to the so-called comping (recording the same part several times and creating the final track from the best fragments), automatic adjustment of the project's tempo to an external sound source (useful when we want, for example, to adjust on an ongoing basis to the band playing with us), support for the MPE standard and new MIDI sequencer options related to probability (allowing, for example, to determine the probability of playing a given sound or changing its velocity randomly). Live 11 will also expand the on-board library of virtual instruments and effects by several new interesting items.

Ableton Live 11 for macOS will be available for sale early next year.
